Sixth Grade Study of Early Humans
We begin our study of Early Humans in the Paleolithic (Old Stone) Age around 8000 BC. Originating in East Africa, scientific evidence points to the fact that early humans lived in hunter- gatherer societies. As they followed herds of animals, and other food sources, these nomadic people migrated around the world. At the start of the Neolithic (New Stone )Age, humans had discovered that domestication of plants and animals was possible, and their hunter-gatherer societies turned into agricultural societies. Populations grew, and that paved the way for humans to start developing civilizations.
